Why We Built This Site
Minnesota gives the public broad access to many court and government records, but McLeod County records do not all live in one office. District Court case records use MCRO and McLeod Court Administration. Jail roster and active warrant data come from the Sheriff's Office. Marriage certificates are county vital-record functions, while divorce decrees are District Court family records. The goal is to make those paths easier to separate.

What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site. It is not part of McLeod County, the Minnesota Judicial Branch, McLeod County District Court, McLeod Court Administration, or the McLeod County Sheriff's Office. There are real limits to what this site can do:
- We cannot file paperwork or send records requests for anyone
- We cannot issue certified copies of court, jail, warrant, marriage, divorce, or probate records
- We cannot give legal advice or interpret a specific Minnesota case for a person
- We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, or address is current at the moment it is read
Only the issuing court or government office can provide an official certified copy. This site can point to the office, but the record must come from that office.
